my mum makes this for me sometimes or i do, lol thought i would share this...asian women have been using this for centuries especially on the day before your wedding as a ritual to brighten your skin...can be used on the body too...i will share that recipe another time but this one is specifically for the face!






Turmeric, Milk and Gram Flour Mask


Facial masks can be easily made at home and the good news is that you can use ingredients right from your kitchen too. For example a turmeric, milk and gram flour mask is something that you can easily prepare at home and it works wonders for your skin. These fabulous natural homemade facial masks are not only easily made but are also effective.


In a situation where you do not find the ingredients for turmeric, milk and gram flour mask in your kitchen, you may visit any Indian supermarket for these products. You may find gram flour in several different names like chickpea flour, garbanzo bean flour or besan. If gram flour isn't available use the regular all-purpose flour instead.


Ingredients


2tsp gram flour; ¼ tsp turmeric; milk; honey


Preparing turmeric, milk and gram flour mask:


  Take 2 tsp gram flour, ¼ tsp turmeric in a small bowl. Mix well.
  Now slowly add several drops of milk and honey
  Stir in the mixture while you add the milk and honey and see that the mixture isn't too thick but has a proper consistency




How to apply turmeric, milk and gram flour mask:


  First wash your face thoroughly with a mild soap. Remove all residue make up (if any) to allow the turmeric, milk and gram flour mask to properly penetrate the face.
  Apply the mask to your entire face evenly using your finger avoiding your eyes. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
  Wipe off the bulk of the face mask using your fingers. Now rinse well with luke warm water to remove the rest.
